**Lab Technician-Quality**

The Laboratory Technician is responsible for conducting laboratory testing, inspections, and analyses of raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods to ensure compliance with established quality standards, customer requirements, and regulatory expectations. The technician supports manufacturing, research and development, and quality assurance activities by accurately generating and documenting test results, maintaining laboratory equipment, and assisting with investigations and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Ensure compliance with company safety programs, hazardous material handling procedures.
• Perform physical, chemical, and analytical testing on raw materials in-process, and finished products.
• Conduct routine quality control testing according to approved methods and SOPs.
• Asist in recording, reviewing, and reporting of laboratory data; using software systems and good documentation practices.
• Collect, prepare, and test samples for analysis.
• Maintain, and calibrate laboratory equipment and instruments.
• Support nonconformances and RCA investigations
• Maintain laboratory safety and quality requirements.
• Assist with process validation, and qualification activities.
• Participate in continuous improvement projects.

Requirements

• Associate degree in Chemistry, Biology, Material Science, Chemical Technology, or a related scientific field preferred.
• Equivalent laboratory experience may be considered.
• 1 to 3 years of laboratory, quality control, or manufacturing testing experience preferred.
• Experience in silicone, polymer, medical device, cosmetic, chemical, or specialty materials industries is highly desirable
• Understanding of laboratory testing techniques and analytical equipment.
• Knowledge of quality systems, GMP, and ISO requirements.
• Ability to interpret specifications, test methods, and technical procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and data integrity.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic data management systems.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
• Represent Wacker’s interests towards authorities, suppliers, and contractors
• Perform all tasks and assignments in accordance to Wacker’s policies and procedures
• This position requires working in a multi-discipline team with multiple interfaces to internal customers (R&D, operations, supply chain), internal services like EHSS, procurement, accounting and controlling as well as external parties like authorities, suppliers, and contractors.

• Ability to stand, walk, and work in a laboratory environment for extended periods.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
• Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Manual dexterity sufficient to handle laboratory instruments, chemicals, and testing equipment.
